The worst from a major water main break appears to be over for thousands of Kansans.
Crews have put in long hours but many south central Kansas communities are still without water, including Augusta, Mulvane and several rural water districts.
The pipe burst early Saturday evening, but it took crews hours to find the break just outside of El Dorado.
Mulvane City leaders say the city's water supply is at 60 percent of capacity. Residents are still being asked to conserve.
The parts to repair the broken main are expected to arrive in Augusta tonight.
