If you saw the ticker on a cable channel Sunday morning, you might have thought the city of Augusta was burning down--that is far from the truth.
Cox Communications ran a ticker Saturday morning saying there was an emergency situation in the city of Augusta and to tune into channel 7 for more information. This ticker was only supposted to be aired in Augusta and Wichita residents saw it on cable by accident.
An overnight water main break in the city left low water pressure for Augusta residents and other cities that get their water supply from the same water department.
Augusta, along with other towns that use the Augusta water supply are currently asking residents to use the emergency water plan. While the water supply isn't completely out, officals from the water department are asking everyone effected to conserve water.
