A new option in nightclubs opens Friday in Wichita, featuring a throwback to the early 1980s. Club Rodeo will feature live bulls and riders surrounded by the dance floor and bar you'd expect to see.

It's where Graham Central Station used to be near Kellogg & Webb.

Owner Cary Borneman has similar clubs in Oklahoma City, Lubbock and Springfield and expects it to be well received here.

"Well what we've got is professional bull riding, says Club Rodeo owner Cary Borneman. "It's a legitimate sporting event. We take 20 riders. They have to be professional. They have to be card carrying members of an association."

On Friday and Saturday nights the dancing stops at 10:30, 11:30, and 12:30 for the bull riding. "We've got judges, bullfighting clowns and paramedics are here in case they get hurt," says Borneman.

The arena is elevated enough so spectators can see the riding. It'll also be shown on the four big screens over the dance floor.
