Woman Who Shot Dr. Tiller A Witness In Murder Hearing

The man accused of killing Wichita abortion provider Dr. George Tiller goes to court next week, and the woman serving time for shooting the doctor 16 years ago could be called as a witness.
Rachelle "Shelley" Shannon is on the list of potential witnesses who could be called for Scott Roeder's preliminary hearing.
A Sedgwick County jury took one hour to find Shannon guilty of attempted murder in the 1993 shooting of Dr. Tiller. She is serving time for setting fires to abortion clinics on the West Coast.
Dr. Tiller was shot to death inside a Wichita church on May 31, 2009. Roeder was arrested on I-35 a few hours after the shooting.
His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Tuesday.
