anon july 7 3:48am judging by your time of post, I must agree with your comments. evening, or after midnight driving is different than the 7 - 8:30 am drive, lordy, not to mention 4 - 6:00 pm. To have proper spacing at these times is near impossible, due to the dodgers and weavers trying to get to work on time. in early am rush hour traffic, if you space the correct way, you will have weavers cut from far left to far right through your lane. with no signal, no warning. BTW, not just the police that fail the signal test, any government, state, city or federal, any and most all fire department tags, and gosh almighty, watch out for any "college" vanity tags. KSU and WSU, need them on the front so you can brace yourself when you see them coming!
unfortunately no matter how well you drive if the po pos want to pull you over they can make up an excuse to. no one is able to drive well enough not to be pulled over so yes these are clearly money traps veiled in a minute desiguse to make the streets better. if there are so many cops availble to hangout in the same area for hours on end, then maybe they have too many or the cops who are suppose to patrol these areas alone are incapable of doing their jobs. sorry they can't have it both ways.
I believe that cops can do whatever they want they can ticket your frisk you whatever they want because they are cops heck they have their own tv show they are the law and can do whatever they please!
I agree that the wichita police does need to look at the habits of their own before doing things like this. cops speed and there is no reason to.. police dont use their turn signals till on the turn they need to do..cops fail to turn into the nearest lane like they should. someone needs to follow some police around with a video camera and tape some of the violations so there is proof that they do this, and perhaps get some of the tickets dismissed and even some of the money returned as well.
SO WHAT IF THE CITY IS USING THIS AS A WAY TO GENERATE REVENUE, IF YOU ARE DUMB ENOUGH TO SPEED AND DRIVE STUPID AFTER THEY ANNOUNCE THAT THEY ARE SETTING UP THESE OPERATIONS THEN THE CITY DESERVES YOUR MONEY. MOST OF THE MONEY COLLECTED FROM THOSE FINES GO TO THE STATE AND SEDGWICK COUNTY ANYWAYS.

YOU CAN NOT JUSTIFY BAD BEHAIVIOR BY POINTING OUT OTHER BAD BEHAIVIOR YOU ARE WRONG. I FIND IT HUMOROUS THE COMMENTS YOU SEE HERE AFTER AN OPERATION LIKE THIS THE EXCUSES YOU SEE, YOU ARE WRONG! I agree that the police should look at their own driving habits before ticketing others. However I don't have much of a problem with people not using their turn signals. After all if you are using the correct spacing and paying attention to your driving instead of a cell phone it shouldn't be a terrible problem if someone does a lane change or exit.

Click it or ticket, what a joke. Speeding and improper lane change with no indication is a very large problem. Refusal of most drivers to indicate a lane change or exit and entrance to any street, avenue, boulevard, road, parking space, whatever. Others cannot read your mind, use you blinkers, turn signals, hand signals, our call me on your cell phone, text works also. You expect me to read your mind, read mine. Use your signals. Ever notice, the newer the vehicle, the less apt to use indicators. never will this be an issue as few "officials" use signals. watch the city,state,fire, and government issue tags weave in and out of traffic with no indication. They will always be on "official business". Use your turn signals and get off the phone.
POLICE ARE USING THIS AS AN EXCUSE TO RAISE REVENUE TO COVER BUDGET DEFICITS, INSIST THAT THEY GO ON THE STREETS AND DO REAL POLICE WORK INSTEAD OF SETTING UP MONEY TRAPS ALL THE TIME.
SOME OF THE TURN VIOLATIONS ARE UNCALLED FOR. AS A LONG TIME DRIVER I KNOW THAT YOU ARE TO TURN INTO THE CLOSEST LANE TO YOU WHEN YOU TURNS BUT SOME TIMES IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE FOR SOME TO GET TO THEIR DESTINATION IF THE DON'T ENTER THE FAR LANE,JUST MAKE SURE NO ONE IS TURNING INTO THE LANE ON THE RED OR ON A YIELD TO THE RIGHT WAY.YOU HAVE THE RIGHT OF WAY BUT YOU WILL GET THE TICKET.I SEE POLICE MAKE IMPROPER TURNS QUITE FREQUENTLY!!! UNTIL THEY FOLLOWER THE ROAD RULES HOW IN WORLD DO YOU EXPECT THE PUBLIC TO DO IT WHEN THEY SEE THESE EXAMPLES.
