Wichita Police Issue Several Tickets In Traffic Operation
Wichita Police officers from all four Field Services bureaus conducted a traffic operation in the Patrol South bureau on Thursday, July 2nd. The objective of the operation was to target speeding and aggressive drivers.

Wichita Police officers from all four Field Services bureaus conducted a traffic operation in the Patrol South bureau on Thursday, July 2nd. The objective of the operation was to target speeding and aggressive drivers.

During the operation which took place on Kellogg near Washington, on Kellogg Drive, and in the area of Pawnee and Seneca, officers wrote 35 citations for speeding, 45 citations for turn violations, 2 citations for unlawful lane changes, 2 citations for tag violations, one citation for a seatbelt violation, and one citation for defective equipment. Thirty of the 35 speeding citations were issued inside the Kellogg construction zone near Washington.

The Wichita Police Department will continue to aggressively target speeders during the month of July.
