Bradley Specht was sentenced to 12 months probation today and has to register as a sex offender after being found guilty of unlawful sexual relations.

He pleaded no contest to the charges during a hearing in May.

He will also have to send a letter of apology to teachers at his school and around the state.

Specht resigned from his position at Hutchinson High School in early March. The following day he was arrested on eight counts of unlawful sexual relations with a 16-year-old Hutchinson High School student.

Police said the encounters happened both on and off school grounds.
