A Wichitan who police say tried to rob a home in Northeast Wichita became a victim after a struggle with the home owner.
Police responded to the house on the 2300 block of North Estelle shortly after 10pm Sunday. When they arrived, they found the would-be robber shot in the chest, and the homeowner also shot.
The would-be robber later died at a Wichita hospital; the elderly homeowner was in critical condition at a Wichita hospital as of Monday morning.
