Wichita's first quadruple homicide may have triggered an early morning shooting. Now, police want information from a man who stood trial and was cleared of those killings.
The latest shooting happened just after midnight in the 300 block of Marion. At least 30 shots were fired. No one was hurt. But this is a crime police say is related to another major crime that happened more than two and a half years ago.
The shooting apparently started after an argument about the quadruple murders of 2000. That was the murder in which four teenagers were tied up and shot to death.
Cornelius Oliver and Earl Bell were tried for those murder. Oliver was convicted, Bell was acquitted.
Late this afternoon, police picked up Bell. He's not necessarily a suspect. But police say he was there during this morning's shooting.
As of this morning, poice had two other people they were interviewing.
