An autopsy is scheduled on the body of a young man pulled from a Lyon County pond early today.

The Lyon County Sheriff's office said searchers found the body of Thomas K. Reed, 22, in the pond north of Emporia at 8:55 a.m.

Investigators said Reed's roommate reported him missing late Wednesday evening. The roommate reported Reed hadn't been seen since he went to ride a colt Wednesday afternoon.

Searchers found pieces of clothing by the pond. They searched the pond on foot last night, and returned with a boat Thursday morning. Reed's body was found in 15 feet of water.

Lyon County investigators said Reed's death appears to be a riding accident.
