An accident in Cowley County killed an Oxford woman. The Kansas Highway Patrol says 29-year-old Brande Shea died in the accident yesterday.
The accident happened on 132nd road. The driver lost control of the car and entered the ditch. The car struck several trees, throwing Shea from the vehicle. The 2001 Lexus flipped end over end, landing in the creek. Shea's body also ended up in the creek.
The driver freed himself from the car, and crawled up the embankment. A passerby found him and called authorities.
