Wichita drivers may be putting children 's lives in danger. The city's part of a national study looking at what driver's do wrong at crosswalks. The national safe kids campaign says it knows children get injured or die because drivers violate the laws at pedestrian crosswalks. But it needs more data on what exactly drivers are doing wrong when they come to stop signs near schools and in neighbor hoods.

Out of 105 cars surveyed at Colvin Elementary only 16% stopped before the crosswalk. 63% stopped in the crosswalk, 15 % rolled right through, and 6% did not stop at all. Colvin elementary is just one location in Wichita's part of the study.

The final results from the study should be in this October.
