A Derby man says he and his family are lucky to be alive, after his truck was pelted by rocks.
It happened on the Kansas Turnpike. Investigators believe kids may be the culprits.
Paul Brackeen , his wife and their 4 month old daughter Olivia were driving on the Kansas Turnpike on Father's Day. They were near the K-15 and MacArthur exit when their new truck was truck by something. It was a brick, one large enough to leave a hole in the top of the hood.
Kansas Highway Patrol Lt. Joe Bott says Brackeen's car wasn't the only one hit. Another driver's front window was smashed as well. Witnesses told him they saw kids throwing rocks and asphalt chips at drivers.
Lt. Joe Bott says, "This is unusual because they were on the side of the road throwing stuff and it's usually from an overpass.'"
