Well then if they accuse this teenager for a false report they better charge every last social worker that has wrongfully accused parents at least this little girl got to go right home unlike the false statements made by social workers that takes parents years to get their kidsoout of that system. Repay all the tax payers money that goes into foster care that could be going to help needy families have a better x-mas.
I think her punishment is too light. She needs to understand just how serious her false allegations were. Maybe some community service would do her some good.
it is about time that at least one teenager gets in trouble for this. It is one thing to try and scare your parents and another for wasting a communities time and money looking for someone who wants to be childish and make these false reports. I am 22 and would never have thought about doing something so reckless to my parents. She should have to pay back what they spent looking for her weather it be her paying it back with money or her working it off in the community
This is a prime example of what teens are capable of doing if they don't get their own way. I've seen first hand where teens have literally destroyed and torn their own families apart due to making false alligations and story telling. This young teen isn't the first to pull this stunt and she certainly won't be the last.
good and maybe she and other kids will think twice before reporting something bogus and her parents should have to pay the bill for everyone looking for her, and she needs help, mentally and emotionally also to find out why she felt the need to do this.
I'm really glad that the police are holding this little girl responsible for her actions. It's a hard lesson to learn but I bet she doesn't ever think about doing something so stupid again.
Glad to see that she is getting charged however she is still getting away with it by having the opportunity for those charges to be expunged. I hope seh gets some major community service time.
