The accident occurred just after 8 Monday night when a trailer came loose from a truck and caused a chain reaction crash.

It happened on the Kansas Turnpike near the Haysville exit.

The driver of one of the involved trucks tells KAKE News his trailer, carrying a Bobcat front-loader and beekeeping equipment somehow came loose.

A semi and at least one car that were following the truck suffered damage.

No one was injured in the accident.

The southbound lanes of the turnpike are down to one lane in the area. It could be a couple of hours before traffic flow is back to normal.
