Nebraska officials say a 12-year-old boy from the Atlanta, Ga., area is in the state's care after being dropped off at a Lincoln hospital under Nebraska's safe haven law.

Children and Family Services director Todd Landry says the boy's
mother drove to Lincoln from Georgia and dropped him off at Bryan LGH Medical Center West on Saturday night.

This is the 12th instance of use of the safe haven law and the 20th child left at a hospital under the law since Sept. 13.
