After more than a decade as a city leader, minister and community advocate, Pastor Tyron Gordon says goodbye to Wichita.
Gordon has been with St. Mark United Methodist Church for the past 15 years. He has also served on the Wichita school board for five years.
During his stay membership at St Mark’s has gone up from 250 people to 25,000, making it the fastest growing Methodist church in the nation.
Gordon now moves on to become the senior pastor of St. Luke Community United Methodist Church in Dallas, Texas.
The Reverend Julius Dotson of California will replace Gordon.
