hello u should consider adapting a steam powered engine complete with its own boiler to augment your project.an ordinary gallon of gasoline will burn continually for 63 straight hours when regulated thru a 1 inch aperture/pipe producing a flame up to 2 feet tall.likewise a gallon of 70% pure ethyl rubbing alcohol (ethanol) will burn for 189 straight hours under the same conditions.ethyl burns for 3 times longer than gas at the same volume ratio, irregardles of the speed of the adapted vehicle.at idle or 120 mph the primary fuel burn rate remains constant when used to boil water to steam power an engine.u can reference an oldtime steam powered car company that made cars that ran on steam and achieved speeds in excess of 127 mph and out performed direct gas driven vehicles of the time.the stanley steam driven roadster 1906 to 1925. they even post engine/boiler diagrams for free online at some sites. adapting such a vehicle could get 100's of miles per gallon of gas/alcohol heated boiler
