A Kansas man whose girlfriend was
physically stuck to the toilet in their home wins $20,000 in the
state Lottery -- for the second time this year.

Kory McFarren of Ness City cashed in his winning $2 Bonus
Crossword ticket in Great Bend Monday. On July 29, the 37-year-old
McFarren received six months of probation after pleading no contest
to misdemeanor mistreatment of a dependent adult.

McFarren called Ness County deputies in February to report that
his girlfriend had refused to come out of the
bathroom for two years. Authorities found her stuck to the toilet.

Medical personnel estimated the woman had been on the toilet for
at least a month and said the seat had adhered to sores on her
body. She was released from a Wichita hospital after several months
of treatment.

i'm from ness and know of Kory. please leave him, his family and this town alone. despite the reports none of you know what goes on behind closed doors. he asked nicely to respect his privacy. get him off your radar. go live your own lives!

I thinks it's awesome!!! All of you are envious!!! More power to him! He is in need of a massive vaca!!! He had a crazy girlfriend that liked attention and liked getting her way. When she didn't she locked herself in a bathroom!!!

See how stories get all turned around. He did not get caught looking into his neighbors window. If he did anything wrong he was doing it in his own house and the girls were looking at his window. Congrats to you Kory on winning the money. Go for the gold play Powerball!!! Only some of us know the real truth.

I agree with flush him. Make him pay for some of the costs.

Chris- If you're going to present an intelligent argument in this case, you're going to have to show the people reading this that you're able to do that. In other words, proper sentence structure, grammar, and correct spelling are essential. That being said, this man has been in trouble on more than one occasion. The "girlfriend on the toilet" is just the tip of the iceberg. If she didn't want help, she didn't want help. Whatever he did or didn't do is neither here nor there. This is just an example of how screwed up this world really is. The point is, people who deserve to be rewarded aren't and people don't deserve it, are. But I seriously doubt the authorities will allow this to happen. They'll find a way to take it from him and rightfully so.

LOL God when will this story end. I blame it all on bad taco bell, come on, we have all been there, where is your compassion...

theres no law saying he cant gamble and it falls back on his girl friend she made her bed so she can lie in it and el you are no better than him u judge him by her side of the story but have you heard his or is it just hear say that you want to belive

Posted by: Anonymous on Oct 8, 2008 at 07:29 AM
The awnser to your question is a Kansan. Laws will not let you force someone to get help against their will. She wouldn't of got help if he called the police. She refused help when she was stuck to the toilet. but finally agreeed after they wouldn't leave. They wouldn't of stayed before it got this bad. Gambling may not of been a condition of his probation.

He shouldn't have even been allowed to gamble. What kind of person is that who can't get help for someone that obviously needs it? What a disgrace!

Tina and Chris-This guy was also a peeping tom. He was charged with it. He had been standing outside a young girls window masterbating!!!! And her parents caught him in the act!!!! He's been involved in more than the woman on the toilet case. He's a pervert!!!! I agree he shouldn't receive any money!!! He's created enough problems it's time for him to pay for it.

I am very happy for him! I agree.. karma is trying to tell us something! I do not think the case should have even gone to court. In a small town, I am sure other people were aware of her being in the bathroom for that long of time, too, and when it was found out that she was stuck, everyone placed the blame on him, because they were too shallow to accept their part in knowing she was there and not offering advice on how to get her off the toilet and out the door.

i fill that if she went and sat on the tolit then got stuck on it that is here own fault how could he be charged for that when he was giving her food and water and he was trying to get her off but she didnt want to go thats there bisness as far as his winning the lottery u people are just mad at him cus he won and u didnt he should keep his money and fight the sytem he shouldnt be held accountable for her actions

I don't agree with the accusations that he "held he hostage". She may have been dependent, but I don't think he should have been charged with anything. She didn't WANT to get off the toilet..enough said

Posted by: flush him Location: Wichita on Oct 7, 2008 at 02:11 PM
You've got to be kidding me! The state should withhold his winnings to pay the hospital bills for the woman he held hostage on that toilet for all that time and for the court costs related to this mess. He shouldn't see a dime of that money!!

Posted by: Anonymous on Oct 7, 2008 at 01:43 PM
isnt it a violation of your probation to be gambling I have seen in the past that people could not claim there winnings because it would violate there probation

Posted by: Anonymous on Oct 7, 2008 at 12:44 PM
Got her off the toilet and win money. I call that lucky.
