The Army is trying something new to help treat soldiers with post traumatic stress syndrome.

Soldiers are using Warrior Mind Training, a technique aimed at improving concentration and relaxation that's been used for more than a thousand years. In some ways it's similar to other forms of meditation, though there's a stronger emphasis on living in the moment.

For soldiers battling PTSD, an instructor says it helps them "leave the horrors of war behind when it's time to come home."

The course is also catching on as a way to improve focus and better prepare soldiers and Marines for the rigors of combat. An instructor says it can also improve shooting range performance and raise training test scores.
