Victim Killed In Kellogg Crash Identified
A man was killed during an overnight crash on Kellogg early Saturday. It happened around 3:00 a.m. near Kellogg and Grove.

On October 4th, 2008 at approximately 3:11 a.m. witnesses reported observing a white Mercury Grand Marquis driven by a 36-year-old man westbound on Kellogg in the right hand lane traveling at a high rate of speed.

A witnesses said the vehicle swerved to the left to avoid striking their vehicle, and then swerved back to the right, causing it to slide sideways down Kellogg. The Mercury Grand Marquis struck the guard rail and then spun several times, ejecting the victim from the car.

The driver, Cameron J. Conner of Wichita, was pronounced at the scene at 3:16 a.m. Mr. Conner was taken to the Coroner’s Office where an autopsy was performed on Sunday. Toxicology results are pending.
