Timothy Riggins of Wichita has been in custody since September 20th on charges related to the Arkansas bank Robbery of Home National Bank on September 17th.

During the robbery, the suspect produced a note to a teller demanding money and displayed an unknown caliber blue steel revolver that was tucked into his belt. The teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash from her drawer.

Evidence was developed by Ark City Detectives which implicated Riggins.

The information was passed onto the FBI in Wichita. Riggins parole for a 2003 bank robbery was revoked for his involvement in the Ark City Bank Robbery.

When US Marshals served the Parole Revocation warrant on Riggins he ran from the Marshals and assaulted them when he was finally captured. When the Marshals searched Riggins after the arrest he was in possession of Cocaine.

Riggins was charged with Parole violation, assaulting a federal officer, and possession of cocaine. He has since had a revocation hearing in Kansas City where a judge ruled that he return to prison and serve out his original sentence on the first bank robbery he committed.

This will allow he US Distrct Attorney’s Office to take their time building a case against Riggins. There is mounting evidence against Riggins, however, the details cannot be disclosed.
