A California man arrested in his wife's death has changed his appearance. Arrest photos of Scott Peterson show that he has dyed his hair and grown a beard.

Peterson was arrested Friday hours before authorities identified two bodies as those of his wife and unborn child.

Laci Peterson was eight months pregnant when she disappeared on Christmas Eve.

The two bodies washed ashore in San Francisco Bay earlier this week. Friday night authorities announced that DNA tests gave a positive ID.

Peterson was arrested in San Diego before the test results were released. Authorities say they feared he might try to flee. Police were using phone taps and sensors to follow his movements.

Prosecutors say they plan to charge him with double murder, which would make him eligible for the death penalty.

A spokesman for Laci Peterson's family says they're devastated by the confirmation of the deaths, but grateful they finally have an answer after months of uncertainty.
