Patrick Miller Found In Iraq

A celebration this morning in the Wichita suburb of Park City: A Kansas soldier is no longer a prisoner of war.

Patrick Miller's pastor says the 23-year-old Army private first class is among seven Americans found today by Marines, north of Baghdad.

The Reverend Ron Pracht is the pastor of the Olivet Baptist Church in Wichita, and a spokesman for Miller's wife, Jessa. He says Miller's family got the good news from the Pentagon around eight this morning.

Pracht says he has no immediate word on Miller's health. But he says he has heard all seven of the POWs had walked to the plane that took them out of Iraq.

Miller's unit, the 507th Maintenance Company, was ambushed March 23rd near Nasiriyah. He was one of several American P-O-Ws who later appeared on Iraqi TV.
