A Wichita woman was robbed and shot late Sunday at a home near Harry and Seneca. She was shot multiple times but is in stable condition. Police were called to the scene just after 11:00 p.m.

Sergeant Kelly O'Brian says the victim is in her 50's. It is not known if the shooting happened inside or outside her home in the 1600 block of South Fern, but she was found inside the residence.

The unidentified victim reportedly called her family members after the incident. They then called 911. She was found with two gunshot wounds to her stomach, O'Brian says.

O'Brian says this appears to be a robbery, but it is unknown at this time if anything was taken. It is also not known if the victim knew her attacker. She's currently listed in critical condition at a local hospital.

If you have any information about this crime, police ask that you either call 911 or call Crimestoppers at 267-2111. Tips to Crimestoppers can remain anonymous and information leading to an arrest could lead to a cash reward of up to $1,000.

There are is no trouble with clubs, kids, etc. There is trouble with GANGS in this town...Im 46, and decided to buy a gun for the house, the business, and my truck. Since the police are too scared to get singled out for "profiling", and pick the filthy gangs up-looks like most of us in town are gonna start purchasing a little protection.
