A Wichita man has been formally charged with three serious felonies after he allegedly attempted to have sex with two retirement home residents. 34 year-old Raul Monroy, Junior, is listed on the Sedgwick County registered sex offender list.

Police say Monroy entered the Cornerstone Assisted Living Center in the 1200 block of North Broadmoor and attempted to assault an 85 year-old man.

"When he was denied he then went into a room of an 85 year old woman and committed sexual battery," says police spokesperson Gordon Bassham.

Monroy was charged Thursday with aggravated burglary, aggravated sexual battery and attempted aggravated criminal sodomy. His preliminary hearing is set for September 18th. Bond was set at $200,000.

i have a different view of things my fience is a (sex offender) he only caught one case in 1994 and that was me aggravated indecent liberies with a child >14<16. i really wasnt a victim. Any way people like this guy make it alot harder for people like my fience to do things in our society because the first thing they think is their kids or family is in some kind of danger and for the most part they probably are I think they should just take all the repeat offenders and lock them away. but people that look like illegal imigrants and this guy does just keep him out of the us or kill him i mean he obviously didnt learn his lesson the first time so loke him away and throw away the key.

I work in a nursing home. Its so sad that these people have no were else to live and they depend on us people to take care of them, than you have men come into their only home and rape them or sexually assult them. No one is safe from sexual battery.
