Hutchinson police are tracking down several leads in the case of a deadly shooting.

Twenty-one-year-old Kenneth White was shot twice inside his house on the 1600 block of West 4th. A family member discovered his body just after 3 p.m. Monday.

"We're following leads on it right now and we are trying to chase down several different leads," said Hutchinson Police Lieutenant Clay Rothe.

The investigation led to three persons in custody in Stillwater, Oklahoma. They were arrested and have been formally charged with first degree murder. Bond has been set on each at $500,000.

The men police arrested are Ronald Lesley Beard, 21; Felton Talib Williams, Jr., 29; and Aubrey Montez Oliver, 18. All three men are from Wichita.

The motive for the shooting remains under investigation. The Hutchinson Police Department has officers working the case both in Hutchinson and in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Neighbors say they can't imagine anyone wanting to cause him harm. They say White, who lived here the past few months, was a really nice guy who mostly kept to himself and never caused any trouble.

"It put me in shock. I don't expect nothing like that to even happen. It gave me chills. It's ridiculous why somebody would want to do him harm like that," said neighbor Terry Tate.

Anyone with any information should call the Hutchinson Police Department.
