Mulvane Casino May Mean School Crisis
Harrah's Casino and Resort could bring more students to an already maxed out school district.

As Mulvane city leaders meet with Harrah's developers, the school district is concerned.
Assistant Superintendent Richard Flores told the group Tuesday afternoon there isn't room in the primary school for any more students.
"The real key is the approximate amount of the student body," said Flores. He said the district may need to put a bond issue up for a vote in the spring, but he needs more information on possible population growth.
Harrah's said it doesn't know right now how many new families may move into the area because of the casino, but it promises to work with the school district.
Parents say they want to keep class sizes small and their tight-knit community the same.
