Kansas Attorney General Steve Six is seeking to close down a Kansas City, Kansas, car dealership over what he alleges was a fraudulent advertising campaign.

Six filed a lawsuit in Wyandotte County District Court yesterday against Chad Franklin Suzuki, which has changed its name to Legend Suzuki.

The dealership ran ads offering customers a chance to either drive a new Suzuki for life with no payments, or to drive a new car for a fixed time at a low, fixed price.

The ads appeared on television and radio in the Kansas City area from June 26th, 2007, to January 27th, 2008.

Six alleges that about 650 customers who responded to the ads had to make full payments after the dealership stopped the promotion with no notice.
