Edwards Admits to Affair, Releases Statement

Former Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards is admitting to an extramarital affair but denies fathering the woman's daughter.

Edwards tells ABC News that he lied repeatedly about the affair with a 42-year-old woman but says that he didn't love her. He says he has not taken a paternity test but knows he isn't the father because of the timing of the affair and the birth.

ABC says a former Edwards campaign staffer claims he is the
father, not Edwards. Edwards was a top contender for the Democratic nomination for president. He placed second in the Iowa caucuses last January but dropped out of the race a few weeks later.

Edwards, a former senator from North Carolina, was the Democratic nominee for vice president in 2004.

Well, politician or not, he is still an imperfect, sinful, human being and continuously makes mistakes as we all do. Now not all of us wind up in an adulterous affair, but we all make mistakes just the same. Wrong is wrong, and this is morally wrong. But he is not exempt from messing up just because he's a politician.

John McCain cheated on his first wife Carol after she was horribly injured in a car wreck. In fact, he applied for a marriage license to wed Beer queen Cindy while he was still married to Carol. Little Cindy was 17 and he was 35 with 4 children and a crippled wife.

Hmmm, Mr. Edwards cheated on his wife and he lied about the affair. Sounds like he has taken the next big step to becoming the Democratic Presidential Nominee in 2012. He has time for a few more affairs to help secure that nomination.

Who cares who he is, the fact is he had an affair. What is so funny is that he actually can confirm that he did not father a child. Did he follow the sperm to make sure it didn't lead to an egg. Stupidity! Go back to sex ed. Have sex= possible child.

he might as well admit the child is his too, he has FINALLY confimed he LIED which that is no big surprise all politicians and lawyers are programed to lie. Own up and be a man your father of the little girl.
