A fight between two women ended with one of them being stabbed in the back overnight.

Sometime before 11 p.m., Wichita Police Sgt. Bobby Wiley said two women were fighting in Linwood Park, around Harry and Hydraulic.

The victim told police she went to the park to fight with the woman. The two had been feuding for some time. But instead of using fists, the suspect pulled a knife.

The victim's friends drove her to Via Christi St. Joseph's hospital, but Wiley said she was later transported to St. Francis hospital and rushed into surgery. She remains in serious condition.

Police are interviewing the victim's friends to find out what happened. They continue to search for the suspect.

leave cherish out of this,she didnt meet anyone in the park after dark.this was so stupid,and both of them need to be charged.what happens to on the spot action and not walking to the park to fight.

Yea! What happen to getting your butt whooped and calling it a day! Back in the day people got there butts kicked and they just took it and said I got my butt kicked. This day and age these kids get to stabbing and shooting cause they can't fight or got that butt whooped. Life is to short for all this dumb stuff cause the only thing that is going to happen to the person that stabs or shoot someone they are going to jail for life or they will ge killed. Yall need to think before yall do things asked yourself! IS THIS WORTH DIEING FOR OR GOING TO JAIL FOR LIFE? BE SMART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does people watch the news so they can learn what NOT to do??? Did this girl not just hear about Cherish McCullough?? And she stabbed the girl in the back, so she most definitely cannot try to say it was self defense! It's not considered self defense when someone has their back to you!....what ever happened to simple fighting with fists and being able to live to see another day??? This violence is getting way out of control and must stop!!
