Nebraska Beef's ground beef recall has been expanded, which now includes ground beef products that have been offered in styrofoam tray packages wrapped with clear cellophane that were sold in Dillons Stores across Kansas.

Any of those ground beef products that were purchased from Dillons in-store service counters should be returned to the store for a refund or replacement.

A Dillons spokesperson says none of the ground beef involved in the recall is currently available in the stores.

Dillons is asking customers to look in their refrigerators and freezers for sell-by dates of May 17th through July 3rd. All of these items have been removed from store shelves. All products that can now be found in the store are safe and stocked from wholesalers other than Nebraska Beef. If you have any products in the home, return them to the store for a full refund or replacement.

I returned my ground beef to dillons & they refused to exchange it. I had 9 packages that I got on sale. All they would do is give me is a refund. I am upset because I am not able to turn around & purchase the same amount of meat for the refund I received. I fell like I am being treated unfair, because I shop around & buy things when they are on sale.

with all the salmonella and other stuff going around, where is the fda? arent they supposed to inspect packing plants? Sell by date of may 17, that means the beef was ground quite a while ago. most of it was probably eaten by the time this notice came out. WHO inspects the food we eat?
