Some of the very first pictures taken inside town minutes after the tornado tore through Chapman were taken by 19-year-old Aaron Anders.

"I grabbed my camera and got into town as fast as possible," Anders said.

Anders, a Pittsburg State photography student, turned his hundreds of snapshots into a slideshow a few days after the storm hit. After he showed it to people, he got such a great response he decided to use the images to raise money for Chapman Schools.

"I guess I wanted kids around the community to have the same advantage I did
at school," Anders said.

The schools Anders grew up in were destroyed by the tornado. While
the state and FEMA will pitch in money to rebuild, the district itself has
to cover 15% of the multi-million dollars cost. It needs help.

"That's the great thing. People are really trying to pitch in and we need
all the help we can get," Chapman High School Assistant Shane Sundahl said.

DVDs of Anders slideshow cost ten dollars. All proceeds will go towards the
Chapman School Fund.

Copies are available starting Monday at Bank VI in Salina, Astra Bank in
Chapman and Abilene, First National Bank in Junction City and Herrington,
and Dickenson County Bank in Enterprise.

People can also order copies by calling 785-922-6600.

Anyone who would like to contribute money or resources directly to the
schools can call the district office at 785-922-6521.
