Terrorism Patrol

Investigate

Fears of another terrorist attack continue to be high across the nation.

While terrorism experts say the chance of something happening in Wichita is slim to none, police are still taking the warnings seriously.

Tonight, they've identified 200 sites that are potential terrorist targets.
While they will not release the exact locations they've identified, they have stepped up their patrols in those areas.

Wichita Police Captain Terry Nelson says, "Under recent events we have to start looking at more places as part of routine patrol."

A local terrorism expert says hospitals, schools, the post office and railways are all probably on the list.

David Farnsworth says, "It's a precautionary thing. It also placates the American public to think the government is doing something."

Farnsworth adds that keeping the public and police on high alert too much may be like crying wolf.

Farnsworth says, "The public will say nothing happened before, that's when we will be at risk."
