What's been rumored for months is now being talked about openly.
Bombardier is speaking plainly to employees about the possibility of a plant closure. We're told by company insiders that if Bombardier's Learjet plant can't get manufacturing costs in line that it could be closed.
Bombardier is talking with Wichita employees about some of the expectations the company has. Bombardier has six manufacturing sites: 3 in Canada, 1 in Ireland and 1 in Tucson, and of course the Wichita plant.
Out of those six, Bombardier spokesman Dave Franson says the Wichita Learjet plant has the highest cost structure and says that must change.
