On The RunA teenager accused of burning a 7 year old boy in Louisiana is believed to be on the run and in Wichita. The burning took place is Port Barre late last month. Police there believe the suspect fled to Wichita. Wichita Police confirm they are cooperating with Louisiana authorities in the search for the 15 year old suspect.

7 year old Frankie Levier is recovering at home from 2nd and 3rd degree burns to the lower half of his body. Port Barre Police accuse 15 year old Erik Brewer of burning Levier on December 22nd. Police say Brewer is a Hurricane Rita evacuee from Lake Charles. They say Brewer was burning trash when Levier walked up, the 15 year old doused the boy with gasoline set him on fire. Levier's family can't understand why anyone would intentionally set the young boy on fire. Frankie's outlook is good and doctors say he is expected to make a full recovery. In the meantime, his mother says it's hard to see her son in so much pain.

The Port Barre Police Chief says the 15 year old told the 7 year old "I'm going to set you on fire." That shows intent, he says and is why he's wanting to charge the teen with attempted murder. Meanwhile, Frankie goes to a hospital's burn unit once a week for check ups. When he's home, he's heavily medicated and the dressing on his legs need to be changed daily.

Wichita Police are cooperating with Louisiana authorities in the search, but so far the teen has not been found.
