Streeter Takes The StandTracallen Streeter says the victim of a jailhouse stabbing got what he deserved. Streeter took the stand in his trial Wednesday afternoon. It's not very often you see a defendant take the stand in his own defense and Streeter's testimony might be a good example why. Streeter seemed anything but smooth when he took the stand and didn't try to hide his feelings for the man he's charged with trying to kill, convicted sex offender, Jason Olsen.

On the stand, Streeter said he didn't want Olsen dead, but thinks its what child molesters should get. Three inmates testified they saw Streeter repeatedly stab Olsen on the evening of July 5th. Authorities found the second half of a mop bucket handle in Streeter's cell. The other half doctor's pulled out of Olsen's chest. An x-ray in evidence shows that 8 inches of metal stuck through Olsen's chest. Streeter says inmate Steven McHarley brought the mop bucket to him and told Streeter to break it in half. McHarley supposedly took one half, the half they found in Olsen...Streeter says he kept the other half for himself. Streeter claims he put it underneath his desk and that's where guards found it. When asked to name who stabbed Olsen, Streeter wouldn't say. Then he claimed Olsen stabbed himself and finally said he would take the blame. Eventually Streeter did deny he was the attacker. Closing arguments in the case begin Thursday
