The Desperate Housewives Workout
The women of Wisteria Lane are in great shape!

"And believe it or not, there is now a Desperate Housewives work out! And with the help of my friends Lynette and Monica, we are going to take you through it step by step."

"The first thing you have to do is figure out which desperate housewife fits you"

We start with Susan, played by Terri Hatcher. She is slim, great figure, and very tense.

What would Susan do in the Desperate Housewives workout?"

"She can handle a workout that is high endurance: high movement."

"if you are a Susan-type, the first thing you are going to do is walking lunges."

Jeff says, "This is making me desperate for a pizza!"

"The next exercise for Hatcher's Susan. A very tense lady with a great body. What now? "Next thing is the squat jumps on the bosue."

Jeff says, "i'm off."

So if you are the Susan-type with high endurance and high movement, try circuit training.

"50! All right...Ok...Now we have done Susan's workout. The next is Gabrielle, played by Eva Longoria. She has got one of the best bodies on television."

"For her character , I think yoga would be the best thing for her."

"She has good muscle tone too. Yoga is a great way to achieve that body."

"Ok. In the yoga room, this is where Gabrielle would tone up that great body on Desperate Houswives."

Jeff says, "Ok, that's not going to work for me. What am I stretching? Well, my toes hurt. Down, upward dog."

Gabrielle keeps that great body tone and strong with yoga --

"The third desperate housewife on the workout is Lynette, played by Felicity Huffman. She has four kids. She barely has time to work out, but she is in great shape. So how does Lynette stay in great shape with all that work?"

"Lynette uses exercises that are great for her body." Step-ups and push-ups for Lynette."

"Lynette doesn't have a lot of time, so we have to get the most bang for her buck."

"The next exercise is push ups. This is a great exercise for women. Lynette has great shoulders."

"This is a body weight exercise, so I would do as many as we can."

The ultra busy Lynette keeps her figure with exercises like squats, push ups and curls.

"The next house wife on the workout is Bree, played by Marcia Cross. She is a perfectionist. She likes to keep house clean. No time to work out. So how does Bree stay in great shape?"

"I would do a total body workout."

"Bring in the hips."

"I want you to give me a squat , then a bicep curl."

"She is very efficient, and makes the most of the time. Total body work out is a great way to do that."

So, if you are a Bree, (very efficient), it's a quick total body workout. The cable machine is one of her favorites

After all, Jeff says, "That was a great workout, a Desperate Housewives workout." Sitting in fron of the TV, Jeff continues, "This is the true Desperate housewives workout, for guys like me anyway."
