Dentists and dental hygienists from throughout
Kansas will converge in Garden City next month. They'll be in the
town to provide free cleanings, fillings and tooth extractions to
more than one-thousand people.

The occasion is a marathon clinic dubbed Kansas Mission of Mercy
to be held at the Finney County Fairgrounds.

It is modeled after similar projects in Virginia and Texas that
try to answer the growing need for access to dental care.

Their first Kansas project will be offered February 28th through
March second in Garden City. The group hopes to offer two of the free clinics every year.

About 100 dentists, 60 dental hygienists and 100 dental
assistants will set up a 45-chair dental clinic to treat as many
people as they can.

Patients will be seen on a first-come, first-serve basis, but the people with the most serious dental conditions will get priority.

Hours for the event are

7 am-5 pm February 28th
7 am-5 pm March 1st
7 am-Noon March 2nd
