Mid-Continent Airport has added yet another amenity to make your air travel experience “a breeze.” The next time you need to pick up guests arriving at ICT, use the airport's new Cell Phone Waiting Lot.

The Cell Phone Waiting Lot allows drivers to pull into one of the 16 allotted spaces and wait for their guests to call and let you know they’re ready to be picked up at the terminal. The new Cell Phone Waiting Lot is located off Mid-Continent Drive at the Park & Ride Lot exit, about one minute's drive from the terminal.

"Wichita Mid-Continent Airport is pleased to open this convenient lot, at no charge to users, as we approach the busy summer travel season," Victor White, Airport Director said. "During most of our arrival periods, it is simply not possible to allow vehicles to idle curbside. This has caused quite a bit of congestion in front of the terminal building. The new Cell Phone Waiting Lot offers an attractive solution to relieve that congestion.”

While there is no charge to use the lot, vehicles must be attended at all times, there is a one-hour limit and drivers are encouraged to turn off vehicles when temperatures permit.

Well it is ICT, and that is why I don't gp there. I have never seen one of the airports "cops" write a ticket but I'm sure they do.

Yeah, but they dont ticket and tow your car at Chilis if you stand there for any length of time. Nor does the TSA come out and chase you off. So, this is a good thing for the aiport to do for us.

Is this really news? Hey they have spots like this in front of Chili's too.
