12:15 p.m. Testimony has ended for the day. Wichita Police Detective Tim Relph was the final witness on the stand. Relph testified about how investigators got Everett Gentry to confess to his role in the killing. Investigators showed Gentry cellphone records that placed Gentry's cellphone just 1/4 mile from the gravesite.

Gentry is expected to be called as a witness when the trial resumes Monday.

11:01 a.m. Jurors have seen about a dozen photos of the crime scene area near 60th & Mulberry. During opening arguments, prosecutors said Gentry and Burnett chose Mulberry so they would remember where the body was "buried". Due to a scheduling conflict, court will recess for the day around noon.

9:23 a.m. Robert Taylor takes the witness stand. He found Chelsea Brooks' body in rural Butler County on 21st Street east of Andover Road while on a lunch break with his wife.

Taylor said the body was mostly buried. Taylor at first thought it was a dead animal and ignored it, but he testified the smell bothered him. He went back to the site two days later with a friend because the smell and sight of what he thought were denim jeans stayed on his mind. By that time, Taylor testified, more of Brooks' body was showing.

Burnett is one of three men charged in the death of Chelsea Brooks. She was 14-years-old when she was killed in June, 2006.
