The Wichita River festival kicks off a nine day run today. Grand Opening Ceremonies are scheduled for 12:30 at the Team Kansas Toyota Food Court Stage at Century II.

Other opening day highlights include the Sundown Parade at 6:30 p.m. and the Opening Night Concert featuring Colbie Caillat at 8:30. The event wraps up with fireworks.
