Copper Theft In Garden City Save Email Print

Garden City Police have investigated a series of burglaries at Martin Mobile Home Inc. on Wednesday.

The owner, Rob Martin, told officers that someone forced entry into 11 vacant mobile homes and damaged the interiors to gain access to the copper wiring located within the walls. An undetermined amount of copper wire was stolen but damage estimates, including the theft, are over $30,000.

The time frame for the burglaries is unknown. The Garden City Police Department has requested that anyone with information regarding this crime should contact the GCPD at (620) 276-1300, or if they wish to remain anonymous they may call Crime Stoppers at (620) 275-7807.
