The Burnham's ordeal has topped the news not only in Wichita, but in other parts of the world. Two Philippino television crews have been in Wichita, following the developments for a week.

ABSCBN reporter Nadia Trinidad says her viewers in the Philippines can't get enough of the events taking place here in Kansas. She says they can't get enough of the events taking place in Kansas, and they feel a bond with Martin and Gracia Burnham.

"One of the biggest problems we have is the problem of terrorism down South and when they first kidnapped the Burnhams it was such a big story because they were Americans," Trinidad said.

A memorial service for Burnham was held in the Philippines Friday.
