Curan Wright is seeing America a little differently. He's riding a bike backwards to raise awareness.

His ride is a 20 inch bike that only goes backwards. "Riding backwards raises awareness, it catches attention to the issues", Wright said.

For Wright, there are many issues. HIV, medical marijuana, and homelessness.

Wright's been as far south as the Florida Keys and back up to Washington talking to members of Congress.

He's already covered 5300 miles, with many more to go.

About a month ago, I passed him on I-90 near Butte Montana. Riding backwards down a mountain slope, whole area he was going through was mountainous there. He has some courage. Heart warming to see someone dedicate them self to anything like he has. The weather he is going through, the slopes he has to climb...

what many don't understand is what this guy is trying to do for the community honestly think that what he is doing is a great way to raise the amount of awareness towards HIV and AIDS plus more health issues. I know people that suffer from these kinds of things. What has me in awe is that he is biking 'backwards'. I dont know if there is or has ever been anybody to think of doing that. He is an unfortunate person but the positive thing about it is he isn't sitting in a hospital or at home waiting for it to come to him. He is taking advantage of his life and enjoying every minute of it. He is living the rest of his life to the fullest, knowing he will leave the world a happy man and hopefully a better place.
