Man Connected to BTK Case Wants Answers

July 20 - The man once targeted in the BTK investigation files a motion for the release of more information on why police arrested him. Roger Valadez's attorney filed the motion Wednesday afternoon.

Attorney Dan Monnat says since police are spending hours and hours releasing details of the BTK investigation, they should also tell his client why he was targeted. The original motion was filed in March. Valadez is asking for all court documents related to who and what led police to search his home and obtain his DNA.

The state argued that they didn't want that information released because it could harm Dennis Rader's right to a fair trial. Monnat now argues it's a moot point because Rader has pled guilty to the BTK murders. The motion goes on to say police have publicized the details of the BTK investigation, but are denying Valadez details about the raid on his home.

Valadez wants to know who wrongly led police to him. The judge took the original motion under advisement but there has been no ruling. Valadez wants all of the information released immediately.
