The Wichita Area Builders Association is putting on an ad blitz, hoping to off-set bad news about the housing market.

In an ad that's running on Wichita television stations, it shows a woman saying all the bad news across the country isn't true for Wichita.

"We're trying to offset some of that negative publicity, because it's not like that around here," says Area Builder's Association Board Chair Don Klausmeyer.
He's hoping the ad will let Wichitan's know the local market is strong and steady and that now is the time to buy.

Tuesday the Federal Reserve cut key interest rates again. Mortgage loans dropped to 5.74% for a 30 year fixed mortgage.
