A Wichita man is facing multiple criminal charges stemming from accusations he sexually abused an underage girl over a span of nine years.

Officials arrested the 37-year-old man last week at his home in southwest Wichita. The victim, now 16, told police the man had been taking sexually explicit photos of her and forcing her to have sex with him since 2003. She says the latest incident happened earlier this month.

The man was charged on Friday with nine counts, including rape and sexual exploitation of a child. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for later this month.

KAKE News is not releasing the man's name to protect the identity of the alleged victim.
