Despite the small audience, organizers of the idea explained it will include three categories--fine arts, athletics and classroom minigrants.
Funds would be available district wide. "We have tried to develop a proposal that we think is equitable to all schools in the district", said organizer Mike Willome.
Educators see the support as an incentive for better teaching, since a lack of money wouldn't be such a problem.
