Hundreds Remember Bramlage Family Killed In Plane Crash

A Kansas family of six who died in a Florida plane crash are remembered for their kindness and generous contributions to their community and Kansas State University.

More than 2,000 people filled a Junction City school auditorium on Monday for the funeral Mass for 45-year-old Ron Bramlage; his 43-year-old wife, Rebecca; and their children, 15-year-old Brandon,
13-year-old Boston, 11-year-old Beau and 8-year-old Roxanne.

The mourners included Kansas State football coach Bill Snyder. Ron and Rebecca were active in the university's Alumni Association, President's Club and other groups. Kansas State's multi-purpose arena, Bramlage Coliseum, is named for Ron's grandfather, Fred Bramlage.

The family died June 7 when their private plane crashed in Florida as they were returning home from the Bahamas. The cause remains under investigation.

A Kansas couple and their four children who died in a plane crash will be laid to rest after a funeral that is expected to draw a large crowd.

A funeral Mass is scheduled for Monday for Ron and Becky Bramlage of Junction City and their four children.

The family died when their plane crashed June 7 in Florida while they were their way home from the Bahamas. The National Transportation Safety Board continues to investigate the crash.

A large crowd attended a vigil Sunday at the family's church, St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.

The funeral at Junction City Middle School is expected to draw such a large crowd that the Junction City school district is offering a shuttle service to alleviate parking problems.
